We’re distributing more sensory packs to our young supporters…

Swindon Town Football Club are proud to confirm that our next batch of 150 sensory packs will be released in the next couple of weeks.

The Club, with the help of Trust STFC and First City Care Group, have now issued more than 600 packs to our young supporters with autism as part of our quest to ensure The County Ground is an accessible, comfortable, and friendly environment for everyone.

The free of charge sensory packs include a lanyard, fidget spinner, ear defenders, pop-it tray and a stress ball, all housed in a handy drawstring bag so that they can be brought to each game with ease.

Our Club Disability Liaison Officer, Caroline Lane, said: “Our sensory packs have continued to be really popular and the initiative has really transformed the matchday experience for many children who may have found the football environment anxious or stressful.”

First City CEO, Stephen Trowbridge MBE said: “It’s wonderful to be part of this on-going initiative, in partnership with Swindon Town Football Club and the Trust.

Enabling football to become inclusive to all and helping young fans enjoy the Swindon Town match day experience, while creating a safe & comfortable environment.”

James Spencer, Joint Vice-Chair at TrustSTFC says: “I know every time we release the packs Caroline Lane at the club gets inundated with requests for the packs which speaks volumes for how amazingly popular and critical the packs are in supporting fans successfully watching Swindon games, where previously this was difficult.

We are exceptionally proud to really help by supporting the purchase of the packs to make a real difference to fans.”

If any of you with existing packs have any damaged items, we have some free replacements available at Reception too!

We are pleased to announce that our latest batch of packs will be available to pick up from the Junior Reds suite at the County Ground on Friday 2nd June, from 10am to 12pm.

To register your interest in one of our sensory packs, fill out our registration form here. We will then be in contact to confirm that your pack is ready for collection.

In order to ensure eligibility, we will also be asking parents or guardians to provide a copy of the Disability Living Allowance (DLA) upon collection.
