Harley is a Red

26 July 2013

SWINDON Town have signed midfielder Ryan Harley on a two-year deal.

The 28-year old left Brighton and Hove Albion by mutual consent before making the switch to SN1.

Harley began his career at Bristol City and enjoyed a successful spell with Exeter City. A move to Swansea City soon followed before signing for the Seagulls. He made ten appearances on loan at MK Dons last term.

Shortly after joining up with his new teammates in Portugal, Harley told the official website that he was looking forward to pulling on a red shirt.

“I’m delighted,” he said. “The lads all seem really bubbly. It’s a young squad - one of the youngest I’ve seen actually but that can be a good thing. I know three or four of the lads here that I’ve played with before. They seem a good bunch and team spirit looks really good. I’m looking forward to it.”

He continued: “I’m an attacking midfielder. I like to get forward and try to create and score goals. That’s what my game is about and that’s what I’ll be looking to do.

“I’ve played a lot in League One. It’s a tough league to get out of. Obviously Swindon came close last year and hopefully we can go one step further this year.”
