Town Replica Shirt Vote

20 April 2017

Swindon Town are offering fans the chance to vote for which retro shirt they would like to see on sale in the club shop.

STFC Store are exploring the possibility of selling some retro shirts from next season onwards and there are three options from which to choose from:

1986-87:

This could well prove to be a popular option given that this was the shirt worn during Town’s successful march to Division Two. The Reds enjoyed a fine campaign wearing this very smart strip and secured a second successive promotion courtesy of Steve White’s double against Gillingham in the Play-Off Final at Selhurst Park.

1989-91:

Town wore this classy shirt over a couple of seasons but it will be best remembered for the 1989/90 season, in which The Reds beat Sunderland 1-0 to win promotion to the First Division.

1991-93:

After being denied the opportunity to compete in the First Division in the 1991/92 season, justice prevailed the following campaign when Town reached the Premier League following a thrilling 4-3 win against Leicester City in the Play-Off Final at Wembley. One of Swindon’s greatest achievements, this shirt could well prove to be a popular choice.

We would like to say a huge thanks to John at True Colours for his help in providing the images of the shirts.
